A Date For Your Diary

Willersey Village Hall, WR12 7PJ

11:00am – 3:00pm

In a recent Instagram poll, I asked whether people prefer to buy handmade jewellery at a craft market or online. The result was 75% in favour of buying in person at craft markets. So I have taken the plunge and signed up to have a stall at various Cotswold village venues over the next few months, starting in April in Willersey.

Willersey is a pretty little village in the Cotswolds, not far from Broadway. The craft fair is in the village hall, which is signposted off the main street, just after the duck pond. I hope you’re able to make it. What better excuse for a day out in the lovely English countryside?

If you would like a chance to meet and have a chat with the maker, browse the collection and to feel the weight of a piece before making a purchase, this is a perfect opportunity. As a newcomer to these events, I’m feeling a little apprehensive so it would be lovely to see some friendly faces there. Do come and say hello!

Let’s talk about shanks, baby…

It occurred to me that I probably sometimes use jewellery jargon or terms that are not familiar to you in my jewellery descriptions. So I am planning to write a series of blogs. The first of these is about the different styles of rings that I make. Read it here:

Hopefully this will tell you everything you need to know about my rings, but if I’ve left anything out or if you want to know anything else, please message me and I’ll be very happy to answer your questions. Also if there are any other topics you’d like me to cover in a future blog, please let me know.

Birthstone for April is Diamond

Diamond is the birthstone for April, and white topaz or quartz are commonly offered as alternatives. However, I like to be different, and I have found these distinctive and inspiring white stones that I’d like to use to use as my alternatives as I think these will look fabulous wrapped in silver. They are white howlite and white opals. Watch out for these as they may be just what you’re looking for!

Stones: Pear shaped howlite and white opal checkerboard round cabochons.
