Immersed in Nature and Green Gemstone Jewellery for May
Posted: May 2026

Hello, I hope you are keeping well.
My jewellery making has taken a quieter turn this past month, as I spent time preparing for a special trip with my daughter.
We both have milestone birthdays this year and had long planned to mark the occasion by walking part of the Camino de Santiago together. Last week, we finally set off, covering 115km from Sarria to Santiago through the Galician countryside.
I’ll admit I had some doubts about whether my feet would carry me that far, but I’m very glad to say they did, and the sense of achievement at the end was something quite special.

What I loved most was being immersed in the landscape, the woodland paths, the changing light, the sounds of the birds, the smell of wild herbs and the rhythm of walking from place to place. Spending so much time walking in nature always gets me noticing small details, textures, shapes and patterns, that often find their way back into my jewellery designs.
I’m now back home feeling refreshed, with new energy for the months ahead, and ready to begin preparing for this year’s Makers Markets.
New Designs Hot Off The Workbench

Tree Bracelet
The latest addition to my Winter Trees Collection. Jewellery inspired by the resilience of nature through the winter months, this tree collection celebrates the wonderful forms of our deciduous trees that define the winter landscape. After the leaves have fallen, the bare skeletal structures appear lifeless in the short dark winter days, yet they are conserving their energy, biding their time until new buds form and growth begins again in spring.
Crafted in recycled sterling silver, this design captures the silhouette of bare branches reaching into open skies. The silver surface reflects the light like frost on bark, while the flowing lines echo the natural rhythm found in the landscape during the colder months. View the details here:

Green Agate Earrings
Green is the colour for May, symbolising rebirth, renewal and the peak of spring.
These dangly earrings feature vibrant natural Green Agate gemstones set on handmade hammered sterling silver hoops. View the details here:
