Hello

I hope you are keeping well. Hasn’t it gone chilly! Are you an Autumn person? I must admit that I’m not a fan of the short days with little sunlight, but I do love to wrap up in layers, and go out for a walk amongst the beautiful colours in the trees as they turn through shades of orange and red. I can feel some new leafy jewellery designs coming in the near future.

September was a rollercoaster month for me, with highs and lows. Sadly, one of the shops that was stocking my jewellery has unfortunately closed. This was at a venue where I was also due to have a stall at some Makers Markets over the coming weeks, and these will no longer be going ahead. So, I have been looking for alternative events to attend. There’s nothing like an unexpected change of plan to keep us on our toes!

Very fortunately, I was also able to get away from it all for a much-needed week’s holiday in Spain, where I could put into practice some of the phrases I’ve been learning with Duolingo. I was pleased to be able to make myself understood in Spanish to buy bus tickets and to order a beer, although I struggled to understand what was said to me in reply, not a clue! Oh well, I think my efforts were appreciated, and it was good fun trying! It was great to have some time to relax, recharge my batteries and a change of scenery, some new sources of inspiration to boost my creative mojo.

And so back to my workbench, with the heating on! Working on some new pieces, including these studs and dangly earrings with cut out stars and hammered copper moons.
