Silver Heart Square Stud Earrings

Hand made using traditional methods. The heart shapes and squares were individually drawn freehand and cut from sheet sterling silver using a piercing saw. They were filed then sanded with abrasive paper to smooth the edges and remove scratches. Next they were heated to soften the metal before applying the texture by hammering. The hearts were soldered to the squares and then posts were soldered onto the backs before they were pickled to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, and then they were cleaned up and a patina added to the squares. Finally they were cleaned and polished to give them their lovely sparkle.
