Gothic Silver Pendant with Large Teardrop Peruvian Amazonite & Oval Blue Lace Agate on chunky 16" chain

Hand made using traditional methods. The little silver balls were created by melting pieces of sterling silver. The stone settings were created by fitting a very thin strips of fine silver bezel around the stones to the right shape and size for each stone, and then soldering these to a sheet of sterling silver along with the tiny silver balls. The pendant was then cut using a piercing saw, filed and sanded. A jump ring was soldered in place. The piece was placed in a warm pickling solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, followed by lots of cleaning and polishing to give the pendant its lovely sheen. Patina was added to the backing plate to give contrast to the raised polished areas. The stones were placed in their settings and the silver bezel shaped over, then burnished before hanging the finished pendant on its chain.
