Crescent Moon Hammered Silver Pendant Necklace

Hand made using traditional methods. The crescent shape was hand-sawn from a sheet of sterling silver and a hole was drilled. The rough edges were filed and sanded with abrasive paper to smooth the edges and remove scratches. The piece was then domed slightly to add curve to the piece and it was textured by hammering. Next a jump ring was attached and soldered closed. The piece was then placed in a warm pickle solution to remove fire scale caused by the blow torch. Finally lots of cleaning and polishing to achieve a high shine.
