How this jewellery was made ↓
Handmade using traditional silversmithing methods. Two stars were cut from sheet sterling silver with a jewellers' piercing saw. After filing and sanding to remove the rough edges, the smaller one was textured by hammering then soldered to the other and a jump ring soldered to the top. The piece was then placed in a warm pickling bath to remove the fire scale caused by the heat from the blowtorch. After this the pendant was cleaned and polished to give it its lovely shine, and patina added to darken the backplate and highlight the design. Lastly jump rings were attached for hanging the pendant on its chain.
