How this jewellery was made ↓
Handmade using traditional silversmithing techniques. First, two discs were cut from a sheet of sterling silver and a heart cut from one of these. They were filed and sanded to remove the rough edges, then textured by hammering. The discs were then domed before being soldered together. A bail was created from silver and soldered to the top and then the piece was placed in a pickling bath to remove fire scale caused by the blow torch. This was followed by lots of cleaning and polishing and a patina was applied to darken the inside.
