How this jewellery was made ↓
Hand made using traditional methods. The heart was drawn freehand and cut from a strip of sterling silver using a piercing saw. This was followed by filing to remove the rough edges and sanding with several grades of abrasive papers to smooth the edges and remove scratches. Next I shaped the strip of silver and soldered the ends together to make the ring, and hammered it on a mandrel to get it nice and round. The ring was then placed in a warm picking solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, followed by more filing and sanding. The texture was then applied by hammering and finally lots of polishing to give the ring its lovely sheen.
