Copper Halloween Pumpkins on SIlver Dangly Earrings

Made using traditional silversmithing techniques. The pumpkins were hand drawn onto sheet copper. Holes were drilled so that the piercing saw could be threaded through to cut out the shapes for the eyes, nose and mouth. The pieces were filed to remove rough edges and sanded to remove scratches. Details were added using an etching tool. They were then domed on a doming block to add the 3D effect and the stalks curved over and soldered to silver jump rings. They were then placed in a warm pickle solution to remove fire scale caused by the blow torch. Lastly the pumpkins were cleaned and polished before attaching the sterling silver hooks.
