How this jewellery was made ↓
Hand made using traditional methods. The little heart shapes ware drawn by hand, cut from a sheet of sterling silver, filed and sanded. The stone setting was created by fitting a very thin strip of fine silver bezel around the tourmaline and making a band that was then soldered to a rectangular sheet of sterling silver along with the hearts. The pendant was then cut, filed and sanded and and cylindrical bail soldered to the top. The piece was placed in a warm pickling solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, followed by more sanding and lots of polishing to give the pendant its lovely sheen. The stone was placed in the setting and the silver bezel shaped over the sides and burnished before hanging the pendant on its chain.
