Amethyst Yin and Yang Teardrop Hammered Silver Dangly Earrings

Hand crafted using traditional methods. The curved teardrop shapes were cut from a sheet of sterling silver, then filed and sanded before texturing the surface by hammering. The stone settings were created by fitting a strip of fine silver around each stone to make little rings, which were then soldered to the teardrops. Next jump rings were soldered to the top of each one and then they were placed in a warm pickling solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, followed by lots of cleaning and polishing to give the earrings their lovely sheen. The stones were then placed in the settings and the silver bezel pushed in to hold them in place and the settings were burnished. Lastly they were hung on sterling silver a hook wires.
