How this jewellery was made ↓
Hand made using traditional methods. The little silver ball was created by melting a small piece of sterling silver. The stone setting was created by fitting a length of fine silver around the stone to make a bezel setting the perfect size to fit the teardrop shape. This was soldered to a sheet of sterling silver along with the silver ball. The pendant shape was then cut out, filed and sanded and a jump ring soldered to the top. The piece was placed in a warm pickling solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, followed by lots of cleaning and polishing to give the pendant its lovely sheen. Lastly the stone was placed in the setting and the silver bezel pushed over all around the edges to hold it in place, and then burnished before adding the jump rings for hanging the pendant on its chain.
