How this jewellery was made ↓
Hand made using traditional methods. The band was cut from a flat sheet of silver, then filed and sanded to smooth the edges and remove scratches. Ivy leaves were drawn by hand and cut using a jewellers' piercing saw from sheet silver. The leaves were files and sanded and then soldered to the band before shaping it round to form the ring. The ends were soldered together and then it was shaped on a mandrel to get it nice and round. The ring was then placed in a warm picking solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, followed by cleaning and lots of polishing to give the ring its lovely sheen.
