Beautiful slices of rhodolite garnet set in minimalist handmade sterling silver dangly drop earrings. Hung on sterling silver beaded hook wires. These freeform natural pomegranate pink gems are flat backed, and have a faceted top. When held up to the light, you can see right through these natural stones.

How this jewellery was made ↓
Hand crafted using traditional methods. The stone settings were created by fitting a very thin strip of fine silver bezel around each cabochon and then soldering these to little sheets of sterling silver. The shapes were then cut out with a piercing saw, filed and sanded and jump rings were soldered to the top of each one. They were then placed in a warm pickling solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, followed by lots of polishing to give the earrings their lovely sheen. The stones were then placed in the settings and the silver bezel pushed over the top to hold them in place and the settings burnished before hanging each one on a hook wire.
