Jasmine Leaf Silver Pendant Necklace on 18" chain

Hand made using traditional silversmithing techniques. The leaf shape was drawn by hand onto a sheet of sterling silver, then cut around with a piercing saw. The edges were then filed and sanded with several grades of abrasive papers to remove the rough edges and shape the leaf. The leaf was then heated to soften it so that the end of its stem could be curved over to form the loop and soldered. The piece was then place in a warm pickle solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch. Lastly it was cleaned and polished to get it nice and shiny before hanging it onits chain.
