Tourmaline Hammered Silver Circles Pendant Necklace on 16inch Chain

Hand made using traditional methods. The circles were formed from sterling silver wire and soldered, filed, sanded and hammered. The stone setting was created by fitting a very thin strip of fine silver bezel around the tourmaline and making a circle that was then soldered to a sheet of sterling silver along with the hammered silver circles. The pendant was then cut, filed and sanded and  and a bail was created and soldered to the top. The piece was placed in a warm pickling solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, followed by cleaning and lots of polishing to give the pendant its lovely sheen. The stone was placed in the setting and the bezel shaped over the stone and burnished before hanging the pendant on its chain.
