Snowflake Obsidian and Hammered Silver Beads Dangly Earrings

Hand crafted using traditional methods. The cylindrical silver beads were constructed from sheet sterling silver to create lightweight hollow beads and textured by hammering. Two lengths of sterling silver wire were cut and one end of each was heated with a blowtorch until it melted to form a ball. These were placed in a warm pickling solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, followed by cleaning and polishing. The beads were threaded onto the silver wires, and a loop formed at the top, with the wire then wrapped around to hold the beads in place. They were then attached to their sterling silver hook wires.
