Trailing Jasmine Silver Turquoise & Blue Sodalite Dangly Earrings

Hand crafted using traditional methods. The leaf shapes were drawn onto a sheet of sterling silver by hand, and cut with a piercing saw, filed, sanded and jump rings soldered to the tops. The stone settings were created by fitting a very thin strip of fine silver bezel around each stone and making little rings, which were then soldered to sheets of sterling silver, then cut out, filed and sanded and jump rings were soldered to the tops and bottoms of each one. The pieces were then placed in a warm pickling solution to remove the fire scale caused by the blow torch, followed by more sanding and lots of polishing. The stones were then placed in the settings and the silver bezel pushed over the top to hold them in place and burnished before assembling the pieces with jump rings and hanging each earring on a beaded hook wire.
